Your first stamp
FreeYour first stamp is a step on Today now, not a screen of its own. The old address still works and opens Today. From 4 November 2026.
Open itHow to use it
- Open Today. Until you have stamped anybody, one of its steps says "Stamp a customer. Ask for their phone number at the counter and type it in." Today has no phone box of its own: the step has one button, Open the stamp card. Press it.
- On the Stamp card screen, pick Type the number at the top. Tap the customer’s phone number on the keypad. If there is nobody in front of you, type your own number: it is the quickest way to see what a customer sees, and you can take the stamp back from the Stamp card screen afterwards.
- Press Give stamps. A short message says "Stamp given" with the count, and your shop is running.
- Go back to Today. The step reads “Stamp given. Your card is working.” The other steps are there too: put your QR code at the counter, and come back to Stamp card, where you work every day.
What it does
- This used to be a screen of its own at /app/first-stamp, and it is where a new owner landed the moment they confirmed their email. It was built to fix a real problem: in October getting to the first stamp took thirteen presses, twelve of them spent looking for the keypad.
- It was moved on 4 November 2026 because that screen was drawn in the old back office, outside the new one. An owner signing in for the first time met the layout we are replacing. The step itself did not go: it is one of the five Today walks you through.
- The old address still works. Open it and you land on Today. Nothing is lost if it is in an old email of ours or in your bookmarks.
- Your shop is set up when your account is: its name, the country, the currency, ten stamps to a card and a reward. Change any of it on the Counter poster screen or in Settings.
- The number is read using your shop’s country, so type it the way a customer would say it: no country code and no spaces.
- No review email goes out from the first stamp. The counter asks for a Google review after a stamp; this one does not, because the first stamp is usually your own number.
- A stamp given here is a real stamp on a real card. If you used your own number and would rather it were not there, open Stamp card and undo it within fifteen minutes.

Getting set up
FreeThree steps to a working card: name your shop, choose the reward, put your QR code at the counter. Under them, four more worth doing when you have a minute. Press a step to open it, then press Next. What you type here is also in Settings, Profit by item and the stamp card.
