Free digital stamp card for Australian cafés and salons

Your customers join with their phone number at the counter. No app to download, no plastic cards, and no limit on how many customers you keep. The back office — break-even, profit by item, rosters, the daily ledger — is free as well.

What it costs, GST included

The stamp card and the back office are free, for any number of customers.

The paid plan is US$39 a month for each shop, or US$390 a year, and your card is charged in US dollars at the day’s rate. We are adding Australian dollar pricing at A$49 a month including GST; until it is live, this page shows what you would actually be charged rather than the price we intend to charge. The first 30 days are free either way, and nothing is charged until you start the paid plan yourself.

Email that follows the Spam Act

The Spam Act 2003 asks for three things of a commercial message: consent, a sender who identifies themselves, and an unsubscribe that works. KANJIN does all three by construction rather than by reminder.

  • Consent is a ticked box, recorded. A customer ticks it themselves at the kiosk or on their own card page, and we store the exact wording they agreed to and when. An address typed in without that tick can never be sent an offer — the database decides that, not the screen.
  • Your shop is the sender. Your business name and your postal address are in the footer of every message, and replies go to your own address, not ours.
  • Unsubscribe works in one click, with no login, and the address is suppressed everywhere at once. It keeps working after the customer is deleted, so deleting somebody cannot cause them to be emailed again.

Review requests are asked of every customer who agreed, the same way, and never carry an offer, a code or a discount — that is Google’s rule and ours.

Australian by default

  • Dates read dd/mm/yyyy, and times are shown in your own shop’s zone, not in UTC.
  • Phone numbers are read as +61, so a mobile typed as 0412 345 678 reaches the right person.
  • Daylight saving is handled per shop: the win-back email goes at 6 pm where your shop is, on the day the clocks move as well as every other day.

The Australian Privacy Principles

Your customers’ data is held in Singapore and KANJIN is operated from Taiwan, so APP 8 applies to it: a cross-border disclosure. Our privacy policy names every country the data reaches and every supplier that touches it, and our subprocessors page lists them by name.

A customer can export or delete everything about themselves from their own card page, without asking the shop, and a shop can do the same for any customer from the back office. Write to hello@kanjin.app with any question about data, and we answer them ourselves.

Start with the stamp card

The quickest way to see whether this suits your shop is to put the QR poster on the counter for a week and watch what happens. It costs nothing, needs no card, and the customers you collect are yours to export whenever you like.

Create a free account — about a minute, and the stamp card works straight away.
