Refund policy
What we refund, how to ask, and how long it takes. If you think a charge was wrong, write to us — we would rather return the money than keep it from somebody who feels cheated.

The short version
Cancel whenever you like and you are not charged again. If something went wrong — a charge you did not expect, a plan you never used, a feature that did not work — email billing@kanjin.app and ask. We do not make people argue for small amounts.
The free tools and the free plan cost nothing
The calculators, the stamp card, the back office and the customer list are free and need no card. There is nothing to refund, and no trial that turns into a bill. You are charged only if you start the paid plan yourself.
What you are paying for
- The paid plan is $39 a month, or $390 a year, for one shop, in US dollars.
- It renews by itself until you cancel. We show the price, how often it renews and how to stop it on the payment window itself, before you pay.
- Your seller of record is Paddle. Paddle takes the payment, handles sales tax, and appears on your statement. Their invoice is your receipt.
Cancelling
- Cancel from Settings inside your account, in as few clicks as it took to start. You never have to telephone anyone or wait for a reply.
- You keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing further is taken.
- Cancelling does not delete anything. Your figures, your items and your customers stay, and you can export all of them at any time, on any plan.
When we refund
- Within 14 days of your first payment, for any reason, if you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA. That is your statutory right. If you asked us to start immediately, we may keep a proportion for the days you used — and we will not haggle over small sums.
- A charge you did not mean to make: a second shop billed twice, a yearly plan you meant to be monthly, a renewal after you thought you had cancelled. Tell us and we put it back.
- A month in which the paid features did not work. If we broke it, it is ours to refund, whether or not you are inside any window.
- Anything else, on request. Ask, and tell us what happened. The default answer to somebody who feels cheated is yes.
We generally do not refund a period you used and were happy with, for example ten months into a yearly plan you now want to leave. In that case you cancel and it simply does not renew.
How to ask, and how long it takes
- Email billing@kanjin.app from the address on the account, or use the support form. Tell us the shop name and roughly when the charge was.
- We reply within two working days.
- Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the card or account you paid from. Paddle sends them within a few days; your bank may take a little longer to show it.
- You will get a confirmation in writing either way, including if we say no and why.
Chargebacks
Please write to us first. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes weeks, and almost everything people raise one for is something we would simply have refunded. If you have already started one, tell us anyway and we will help it along rather than fight it.
