How this works
- It reads KANJIN’s daily sales and invoices files, a Square sales export (it uses Net Sales), or any sheet saved as CSV with a date column and a sales, total or amount column in the first row.
- Several rows on one day, like a transactions export, are added up into that day.
- Best and quietest days are open days only: a day with no sales is treated as closed, not as your worst day.
- The last four weeks are compared with the four before, once the file covers eight weeks.
- Supplier shares need a supplier column: KANJIN’s invoices file has one.
- Excel and Numbers files need saving as CSV first. Nothing is uploaded; the files are read in your browser.
Common questions
- How do I export my sales from Square?
- In the Square Dashboard, open Reports, then Sales summary or Transactions, choose the dates, and export as CSV. Drop that file here.
- Can it read an Excel file?
- Save it as CSV first. In Excel: File, Save As, then CSV. In Google Sheets: File, Download, CSV. The first row must name the columns.
- Are my figures uploaded?
- No. The files are read by your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
- Why is a month showing a big drop?
- Usually because the file starts or ends partway through it. A month at either end of the file may be partial.
