Slow Day SOS
PaidIs the room empty? Press one button to email everyone who said yes. Send it now, or set it for the morning.
Open itHow to use it
- Pick the reason: an empty room, empty chairs, winning back regulars who stopped coming, or your own. The reason writes the first draft. Change any word you like.
- Type the coupon code the customer should say at the counter. It is only a word. You decide what it is worth.
- Press Send now, or pick a time such as tomorrow at nine. The time is shop time, from the time zone in Settings, and the screen names the zone. The screen shows how many people will get it before you press.
What it does
- The audience cannot be widened. It is the customers who ticked the separate marketing yes, and nobody else. Anyone who has unsubscribed, or whose address bounced, is left out.
- Every email carries your shop name, your postal address and an unsubscribe link, and mail apps show their own Unsubscribe button. Someone who unsubscribes is off the list at once, for this shop.
- Email can be sent from shops in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand for now. Elsewhere the screen names your country and says email is not available there yet; everything else works. We will not guess at another country’s rules: what a country requires — whether a ticked box is enough, whether the subject line needs a label, what hours are off limits — is written down before it is switched on.
- The screen, read from top to bottom, is the email: who gets it, why, and what it says.
- Marketing emails are capped at two a week per shop. This counts as one. The cap is shown before you write.
- A scheduled send is a time on the message. Cancel it before then and nothing goes out.
