Email your regulars

Paid

The normal things worth telling the people on your stamp card: a new dish, longer hours, a quiet Sunday.

Open it

How to use it

  1. Pick a template to start from, or write from blank. Templates fill in the subject and the message. Change them as you like.
  2. Check the count of people it goes to, and how many of this week’s two sends are left.
  3. Press Send. The result says how many were accepted. If the sending service is not set up, it says email is not switched on yet.

What it does

  • The limit is two a week, so people keep opening them. It is shared with Slow Day SOS and Rainy day, the emails you choose to send. Review requests and the win-back automation do not count.
  • Only customers who ticked the marketing yes get it. Review requests are a different email and do not count here. Anyone who has unsubscribed, or whose address bounced, is left out.
  • Every email carries your shop name, your postal address and an unsubscribe link, and mail apps show their own Unsubscribe button. Replies go to your contact email.
  • Email can be sent from shops in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand for now. Elsewhere the screen names your country and says email is not available there yet; everything else works. We will not guess at another country’s rules: what a country requires — whether a ticked box is enough, whether the subject line needs a label, what hours are off limits — is written down before it is switched on.
  • If your list is empty, the screen says so and points to the Counter poster. Ten regulars is where this becomes worth doing.
