Your invitations

How to use it

1. 1Sign in with the email address the owner used. It has to be that one — an invitation goes to an address, not to a person.
2. 2Open Your invitations from the menu.
3. 3Press Join this shop.
4. 4That is all. The screens you can open are the ones your role allows, and the owner chose that when they invited you.

What it does

• Nothing happens until you press the button. We do not add you to somebody’s business quietly, and the owner cannot do it for you.
• Joining a shop does not give the owner anything of yours. They cannot read your email, see other shops you work at, or sign in as you. They can see that you joined, and what you do at their shop.
• If the button says you have to confirm your email first, open the message we sent when you signed up and press the link in it. We check that because otherwise anybody who guessed your address could take your invitation.
• If nothing is waiting here, the usual reason is the address. Ask the owner which one they typed, and sign in with that one.
• You can be invited to more than one shop. Each is its own invitation and you join them one at a time.
• An owner can take you off the team at any moment, and it takes effect on your next tap rather than the next time you sign in.

Common questions

I pressed Join and the overview still will not open.

That is your role, not a fault. A counter account opens the counter and the stamp card; the takings are not on it. The screen that refused you says which role you have.

Can I leave a shop?

Ask the owner to remove you. There is no button here for it yet, because leaving somebody’s team is a conversation and we would rather it stayed one.

Which shop is this invitation for?

The screen cannot say, and that is deliberate: until you join you are not part of that business, so we cannot show you its name without opening every business up to anybody holding an invitation. The owner told you — it is that one.
