A free stamp card for a bubble tea shop in Richmond, BC

A bubble tea counter in Richmond runs on regulars, and most of them pay and leave in under two minutes. A paper card is the usual answer and it is the one people lose. This is the same idea without the card: your customer gives the phone number they already know, and the stamp is on it before they have put their wallet away.

Short answer

Is there a free stamp card for a bubble tea shop in Richmond?

Yes. KANJIN (kanjin.app) is free for cafes in Richmond: a digital stamp card on the customer's phone number, with no app for them to download, no limit on customers and no time limit. The free plan also sends up to 20 Google review requests a month and one email a month to as many as 150 customers, everyone asked the same way. Email works from every country, Canada included. The paid plan is $39 a month per shop and is never needed to run the card.

The counter can be in the language your customers speak

Richmond is a city where the language at the counter is a real choice rather than a setting nobody touches. You pick the language your customers read, and it is separate from the one you read the back office in — a shop can run its own screens in English and show the card, the kiosk and the emails in Traditional Chinese.

A customer can also switch on their own phone. Their card page remembers it, so somebody reading Traditional Chinese keeps reading it on every visit without asking anybody.

Traditional is the script KANJIN ships, so that is what the page promises. A customer who reads Simplified sees the same card in English rather than something half translated.

None of that needs a translator on your side. The wording is ours, written once and checked by a second reader who did not see the first draft, so a shop owner is never asked to proofread a sentence they did not write in a language they may not read.

What a stamp costs you, and what it is worth

You choose how many visits earn a reward and what the reward is. A tea that sells for seven dollars and costs you two is a very different giveaway from one that costs you four, and the calculator on the stamp card page works that out from your own figures rather than a rule of thumb.

Nobody downloads anything. The phone number is the card, so a customer who changes phones still has it, and a customer who has never heard of us can join at the counter in one step.

There is a printable sign for the counter with a code on it, which matters in a mall unit where the queue is longer than the counter is wide. Somebody waiting can scan it, put in their own number and be on the card before they reach the register, and staff give the stamp when they order. The sign prints without the code too, for a shop that would rather take numbers by hand.

Nothing about this depends on a register. It runs in a browser on whatever screen is already there, and a shop with no register software at all is not missing a requirement.

Asking for a Google review without breaking Google’s rules

A reward for visits is not a reward for a review, and the two must not be joined. KANJIN never offers anything for a review, and it asks every customer the same way rather than picking the ones who looked happy.

The request goes an hour after a visit, by email, to people who left an address. There is one per customer, and then not again for a year.

If a review arrives that stings, there is a draft reply waiting rather than a blank box at eleven at night. You read it, change what you want and paste it on Google yourself. KANJIN cannot post for you, and says so rather than implying otherwise.

Questions

Common questions

Does my customer need an app for the stamp card?
No. They give a phone number at the counter, or scan the poster and type it on their own phone. There is nothing to download and nothing to install on your register.
Can the card and the kiosk be in Traditional Chinese?
Yes, and Traditional is the one we ship. You choose the language your customers see, separately from the language you read the back office in, and a customer can switch it on their own phone.
Can I give a free tea for a Google review?
No, and KANJIN will not help you. Google removes reviews that were posted because a business offered something. The stamp card rewards visits; the review request asks and offers nothing.
What does it cost to run in Richmond?
Nothing to run the card. The free plan has no time limit, no customer limit and needs no credit card. The paid plan adds the emails that bring regulars back and is never needed for the card itself.

A discount cuts the price for everyone who would have paid anyway. KANJIN emails your regulars only on the days you need them, and finds local creators you can invite.
